Review: Dark Worlds: Slasher (2012)

First I´d like to thank both Michelle Shields and Zack Daggy for making a screener available for me. William Rosum (Beau Yotti)  is a bit of a celebrity. He's in the papers all the time. He's the talk of the town Everyone is dying to know where he'll be, what he'll do and most of all… Who he'll kill. After 55 slayings in 5 years, William has earned a reputation as the Careview Slasher, but as he will soon learn, sometimes the price of fame can be deadly. Dark Worlds: Slasher is a new short film written by Zack Daggy based on his original novel, Dark Worlds: Project 31, Dark Worlds which is a horror anthology of interconnecting short tales in the vein of Trick r Treat, Creepshow and Twilight Zone: The Movie. The film is edited and directed by Chris Jay. The acting is good, both Beau Yotti and Michelle Shields who are the main characters give good and believeable performances. There are some really nice and atmospheric shots in this, it´s professionally shot and edited. I like the fact that the film is from the slashers point of view, his thoughts, his rumblings, his anger and hatred. The soundtrack is good. No T & A in this, there is a little bit of gore, mainly in some aftermath pictures. The look of the Careview Slasher is very cool and he looks very menacing.
This review is based upon a passwordprotected online screener provided to me by both Michelle Shields and Zack Daggy.
Rating: 7 out of 7. Dark Worlds: Slasher yet again is proof that good things come in small packages! It´s fresh, it gives us a new fesh spin on the old and tried slasher formula. Add to this that it´s well made and well acted and you have a winner.

  1. Great Short Horror Film! I couldn't agree with you more Daydreamer. The entire team from the producers, to cast and crew have entertained myself and my horror friends for sure. The Slasher character/costume is Epic! Although the actor's name is spelled Beau "Yotty" instead of Yotti.
