First I´d like to thank Jeremiah Kipp for reaching out and contacting me and asking if I´d be interested in reviewing some of his short films. A middle aged couple lay their table for dinner and seem on edge as they expect their guest, we join a young couple looking to buy drugs, they are given a bottle and instructed to take its contents together. Contact is written and directed by Jeremiah Kipp. The acting is very good especially from Zoe Daelman Chlanda and Robb Leigh Davis as the young couple that buys a unknown hallucinogenic substance and gets a nightmarish trip. Wonderfully shot and edited in beautiful black & white. The soundtrack is good. There is a minimal amount of dialogue.´There is some surrealistic imagery/gore that looks really good (practical make-up fx and the black and white only enhances it´s quality) and gratuitous nudity. Some of the visuals are reminicent of David Cronenberg´s work.
